Adobe Acquires Indian AI Startup Rilo to Supercharge Enterprise Workflows

Adobe acqui-hires Bengaluru-based AI startup Rilo, marking a major step forward for autonomous marketing agents.

Adobe is doubling down on AI agents. The creative software giant just acquired Rilo, a fast-growing Indian startup that automates marketing workflows.

Through this deal, Adobe absorbs Rilo’s six-person engineering team and licenses its core technology. Rilo will now shut down its standalone app.

Rilo was launched by two IIT-Bombay alumni less than a year ago- and the platform has already attracted over 10,000 users.

Rilo lets non-technical teams assemble multi-step marketing workflows using simple, plain-English instructions. Marketers can track competitor moves, analyze sales calls, and handle outreach without writing a single line of code.

Adobe’s move makes complete sense from a strategic perspective.

Enterprise marketers no longer want isolated generative AI tools. Instead, they need autonomous software agents that execute complex campaigns from end to end. Adobe gives big brands a seamless way to coordinate multi-app projects by baking Rilo’s natural-language engine into the Adobe Experience Cloud.

Shutting down a young app can feel sudden for early adopters. However, this speedy exit highlights how rapidly Indian AI founders are building essential enterprise tech. Adobe gains sharp talent and valuable IP, while enterprise marketers get a much smarter toolkit.
