CheQ launched CheQ UPI to bring credit card rewards to everyday RuPay transactions.
Indian fintech app CheQ just launched CheQ UPI, targeting credit-savvy consumers across India. The new feature helps users link their RuPay credit cards directly within the app and earn rewards on everyday UPI payments.
The National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) fundamentally shifted consumer behavior when it enabled RuPay credit cards on UPI. Before that integration, consumers used physical credit cards for major purchases while relying on debit-linked UPI for small transfers. Linking credit lines to instant QR code scans unlocked credit access at millions of local merchant counters.
CheQ builds directly on that momentum.
Most traditional banks offer meager reward points for RuPay UPI transactions. CheQ fixes that gap by layering its own reward ecosystem on top of routine scans. Users now earn CheQ chips on credit card bill payments and daily merchant transactions, creating a unified reward system.
Granted, small merchants continue to express concern over payment processing fees on larger credit transactions. But consumer demand for rewards continuously drives market habits.
CheQ accelerates credit adoption across a market historically dominated by cash and debit transfers by incentivizing users to pay via credit-linked UPI.
CheQ UPI turns routine grocery runs and coffee payments into rewarding financial habits. CheQ is changing how Indians spend credit every day.
